Creating & Editing Posts & Comments

Creating and editing Posts & Comments in Procorem is really quite simple. Both Posts & Comments trigger email notifications that will either arrive immediately or in a digest depending on your team’s individual email preferences. You can even email WorkCenters which will store the email as a post.

In this section we are going to cover how to create and edit both Posts & Comments.

Creating Posts & Comments

WorkCenter Posts

To make a post on a specific WorkCenter, first head into the WorkCenter. From there, you look to the left navigation side bar and select Posts.

Once in the Posts screen, you will see all the posts made by Collaborators on the WorkCenter. Posts are time stamped and can only be edited by users with sufficient rights.

To make a new post, simply click in the white area and start typing.

If you would like to do more than just type, such as changing font style, adding pictures, using bullet points, creating tables, etc. simply click the drop down arrow in the upper right corner.


This will open up the rich text editor for WorkCenter posts.  Once you are done with your Post, click the Create Post button.

File Comments

To comment on a file, you will first want to head to the File Details screen. To access the File Details screen, first head to the WorkCenter and folder where the file is located. From there click the “Details” button on the right hand side of the file line item.


Once in the File Details screen, select the Comments tab at the upper part of the screen. From here you can see all the comments already made and make a new one.

Once done commenting, click Post Comment.

Tasks Comments

Task Comments work very much like File Comments. To comment on a task, you first need to head to the WorkCenter which stores the task. Once in the WorkCenter, select the “Tasks” tab on the left hand navigation panel.

Once in the task screen, select the task you would like to comment on.


Next, select the “Comments tab on the upper part of the screen and make your comment in the white text box. Don’t forget to select “Post Comment” button when you are done!

Editing & Deleting Posts

In order to edit the post, head into the Post section of the WorkCenter and select the “Edit” button.

Once you are done editing select the Save button to record your changes. Once edited by a new person, an activity will be creating noting the edit, but the creator of the Post will remain the same.

If you would like to delete the post, simply select the “Delete Post” button in the upper right hand corner of the screen.

Procorem Note: Once you delete a post, it cannot be restored.

Deleting Comments

File and Task Comments cannot be edited, but can be deleted. To delete a File or Task Comment, head to the comment location. From there, if you have sufficient rights, you will see an X on the right hand side of the post. Select the X and the comment will immediately be deleted.
